PRSA Orlando – Proposed Amendments to Chapter Bylaws

PRSA Orlando Members will be asked to vote on the attached proposed amendments to the PRSA Orlando bylaws at the monthly program on Thursday, October 31 at 8:30 a.m.

The current bylaws were adopted in 2004. The PRSA Orlando Board of Directors appointed a Bylaws Committee to review and make recommendations to update and amend the Chapter bylaws to: a) clean up the bylaws where errors and typos exist; b) modernize the bylaws to meet current practice of the Chapter and PRSA; and c) maintain flexibility that will stand the test of time. The goal was not to change any of the Chapter’s processes, but to ensure the bylaws are written to align with current practices and enable flexibility for future changes. 

The proposed amendments have been reviewed by the PRSA Governance Committee to ensure they align with PRSA National bylaws and approved by the PRSA Orlando Board of Directors. Once the chapter approves the proposed amendments, they will be sent to the PRSA National Board for final approval.
