Wellons Communications, a dynamic, independent PR and social media firm, is looking for an experienced social media content creator to join our Orlando team. We represent clients in a variety of industries, from attractions, hospitality and restaurants to consumer products and technology.
We’re looking for the right person to work hard, have fun and grow with our agency.
The successful candidate will have the ability to take in account staff and client direction and produce planned social media content, including writing copy and selecting or producing visuals. They should also be familiar with paid social media plans and execution. Additionally, the person in this role should be familiar with basic PR and marketing coordination and project management tasks.
Most importantly, the social media creator will embody our company values, rolling up his or her sleeves, answering the call and delivering excellent results for our clients and the agency every time.

What you’ll do
- Capture content, from quality photos to eye-catching video
- Select and create visuals, from graphics to Reels
- Write savvy copy and captions
- Post to social media, including executing on ad strategy
- Monitor social media accounts, including helping craft crisis responses
- Communicate with clients via email and calls
- Manage multiple clients, keeping projects on course and juggling deadlines
- Contribute to client reports
- Other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for
- A year of experience in an agency or in journalism, but qualified recent graduates will be considered
- Superior writing skills for a variety of deliverables
- Outstanding content creation skills, including photo, video, and design
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of and experience with a variety of social media platforms
- Knowledge of AP Style
- Sharp copy editing skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to hit deadlines
- Solid computer skills, including Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Adobe
- A team player
- Working knowledge of design and design programs is a major plus
Education
Undergraduate degree required
