Tools to Take you From a Tweet to a TED Talk: Harnessing the Power of Story

with Story Coach Alice Fairfax at Citrus Club

What powers communications now – and always has — is story. From her career as an improvisational entertainer at Walt Disney World, Alice Fairfax developed best practices for your organization to find and tell your best stories. She will share the secret formula to use the power of story to captivate and engage your audience and inspire action. She’ll also provide numerous tools for writing and delivering a galvanizing and effective brand story in person or online. With warmth, wit and plenty of behind-the-scenes stories, Alice lays out the formula for being a great communicator – from weekly social media posts, to the annual board presentation, and everything in between. You’ll get the tools you need to tell your story.

About the Speaker
Alice Fairfax loves great stories — that’s why she devoted her career to helping clients and companies tell a great story. An award-winning actor and writer, Fairfax was an improvisational entertainer at Walt Disney World for over 20 years, including being “friends” with one iconic character (hint: she owns a magic wand and turns pumpkins into vehicles). A Traditions assistant and Disney Institute Project Manager she trained thousands of new Cast Members and corporate leaders. A Disney Events scriptwriter, she created one-of-a-kind experiences at Walt Disney World. On the opening team for the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts she created over 50 campaigns for touring Broadway shows. The Story Coach for the Victory Cup Initiative, she yearly trains nonprofit leaders in a story competition for grants totaling over $40,000. As the Sr. VP of Ideation Experience Design for MQDC Thailand, she’s creating new theme destinations and immersive experiences in Southeast Asia. She has appeared on top-rated podcasts like “Work for Humans” with Dart Lindsley. She was featured in Orlando Magazine’s Women Who Move the City issue.
