International Conference 

As a benefit to our valued members, PRSA Orlando is excited to offer a member scholarship toward the 2019 International PRSA Conference in San Diego, CA October 20-22, 2019!

About the Conference:

At the PRSA International Conference in San Diego, you’ll be able to choose from a wide range of programs spotlighting the latest in public relations and communications strategies and tactics. At the same time, you’ll enjoy opportunities to enhance your personal and professional network while connecting with some of the world’s most influential companies and organizations. You’ll have the opportunity to meet communication and public relations colleagues along with over 150 industry experts from all career levels, sectors, work environments and industries during three days of practical insight and idea sharing! About the Scholarship:

In 2019, PRSA Orlando will award an International Conference scholarship to cover the cost of registration. The Chapter will register and pay for the registration fee for the selected recipient. If for some reason the recipient is not able to attend the conference, the scholarship will be awarded to someone else.

PRSA Orlando/Frank R. Stansberry Scholarship

Your contribution to the PRSA Orlando/Frank R. Stansberry Scholarship at UCF will help encourage bright, eager young men and women to major in public relations and become the next generation of practitioners.

Applying for the Scholarship:

Scholarship funds will be disbursed during the 2019-2020 Fall semester. Students applying must be actively enrolled during the disbursement semester.

Scholarship Requirements:

  • Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at UCF in the Nicholson School of Communication majoring in public relations.
  • Applicant must maintain a minimum  3.0 average GPA.
  • Applicant may be required to submit a 1-page statement on Career aspirations, Professional/Community and volunteer activities (specifically explaining involvement in their discipline and student or community organizations) and how receiving the scholarship would aid them in obtaining their educational objectives.
  • Must demonstrate leadership roles in school or community by submitting a resume with the application.
  • The scholarship may be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation, provided that funds are available and the recipient maintains award renewal criteria.
  • The criteria for awarding the Scholarship will be consistent with the guidelines established by the University Office of Student Financial Assistance.
  • One $1,000 award available.

Sunshine District Conference 

As a benefit to our valued members, PRSA Orlando is excited to offer a member scholarship to the 2019 PRSA Sunshine District Conference.

About the Conference:

Join Florida’s leading public relations professionals and industry leaders July 25-27, 2019 in Tampa, FL. The premier event features professional development workshops presented by nationally recognized experts in media relations, social media, crisis communications and more.

About the Scholarship:

In 2019, PRSA Orlando will award one Sunshine District Conference scholarship to cover the cost of registration, hotel accommodations and an additional stipend toward mileage, meals, etc. The chapter will register and pay for the registration fee for the selected recipient. If for some reason the recipient is not able to attend the conference, the scholarship will be awarded to someone else.
