Position Overview
Supports the Office of the Chief Digital and Information Officer by creating timely and effective corporate awareness around ongoing organizational initiatives, successes, and emergent issues or challenges. This position will support the Information Technology/Clinical Engineering (IT/CE), Supply Chain, and Corporate Security departments. The candidate will provide tactical and non-technical communications support to all leadership levels and team members. A significant activity for this position will be leading communications for initiatives surrounding digital innovations, artificial intelligence and IT aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions. The candidate is expected to deliver clear, concise and timely communication to key targets.
The position also is responsible for supporting the IT Technical Documentation & IT Communications leader with management and administration initiatives in overseeing the team that develops and executes strategic communications, internal campaigns and communications plans in support of strategic goals determined by the three departments aforementioned.
Essential Functions
- With minimal supervision, work with internal teams and subject matter experts to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and documentation requirements.
- Support internal and external customers with documentation requests and questions.
- In accordance with Orlando Health writing and brand standards, writes and edits messages through varied communication channels including electronic, verbal and written while ensuring quality, consistency and content integrity.
- Helps team members and target audiences comprehend IT/CE technology service offerings, products and use requirements.

- Knowledge of AP Style writing guide.
- Demonstrated record of consistent excellence in communication skills, both verbal and written, including editing, proofreading and grammatical skills.
- Develops and manages positive relationships with all internal partners and external associates.
- Leadership experience as a manager or supervisor of staff.
- Stays informed about emerging communication trends, developments and technologies and shares communication best practices with appropriate audiences.
- Demonstrated skills in word processing and desktop publishing to include ability to work with documents in various formats (Microsoft Office Suite, Publisher, pdf and jpg files).
Education/Training
Bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communications, organizational communication, English or a similar area of study.
- Strong writing skills demonstrating understanding of target audiences and efficiency with style and grammar.
- Works independently and collaboratively with many different teams.
- Deliver high quality documentation with a sharp attention to detail.
- Quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly deliverables.
- Experience in business or organizational communications including supervisory, managerial or demonstrated leadership capabilities.
