Fall 2026 PR & Marketing Intern
Description
About Brandethica
Brandethica is a boutique PR agency built on the belief that great public relations is both effective and ethical. We work with a diverse roster of clients across consumer, lifestyle, nonprofit and B2B sectors, delivering messaging, earned media strategy, content creation, and brand storytelling with intention. Our close-knit team values creativity, accuracy and initiative.
The opportunity
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented intern to support three priority areas of our work: social media content production, earned media monitoring and reporting, and event and community activation support. You will have real deliverables, real client exposure, and a front-row seat to how a working PR agency operates across both day-to-day communications and live client moments.
Responsibilities
You'll work alongside our team on real client assignments across social media, earned media, events and agency operations with clear guidance, feedback and opportunities to take on greater responsibility over time.
- Draft static social media post copy and basic graphics from a creative brief
- Schedule and publish content across client platforms using scheduling tools
- Monitor for earned media coverage and compile monthly clip reports
- Assist with short-form video and trend research, caption writing, and hashtag strategy
- Stay current on emerging media channels, PR technology, and industry trends, bringing fresh ideas and insights back to the team
- Support planning, coordination, and execution of client events, community activations, media moments, and special projects
- Assist with event research, vendor and partner coordination, guest lists, run-of-show materials, signage, and other logistical needs
- Provide occasional on-site event support, including content capture, guest or media check-in, coordination, and post-event follow-up
By the end of this internship, you will have
- Built and scheduled social media content for clients across multiple platforms
- Gained a clear understanding of how to craft multi-channel PR strategies rooted in real client goals
- Learned how a PR team tracks and reports on earned media coverage
- Gained hands-on experience supporting client events and community activations from planning and promotion through on-site execution and post-event recap
- Worked with a tech stack of scheduling, monitoring, and project management tools
- Understood the workflow between creative, editorial review, and client delivery
What we're looking for
REQUIRED
- Enrolled in a communications, PR, marketing, journalism, or related degree program
- Proficiency with Canva, or willingness to learn quickly
- Strong writing, grammar, and proofreading skills. Accuracy matters in the work we send out
- Ability to take direction, ask thoughtful questions, and work independently once aligned on a brief
- Responsive communication via Slack and email
- Reliable transportation to Orlando-area client and event locations
- Ability to occasionally support evening or weekend events with advance notice
NICE TO HAVE
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, a genuine advantage for our clients
- Experience managing or posting on social media for a brand or organization
- Familiarity with social scheduling tools like Sprout Social, Buffer, or Hootsuite
- Interest in earned media, pitching, or broader PR work. There is room to grow
Brandethica is a place where good work gets noticed. Interns who show initiative, accuracy, and a genuine interest in PR have the opportunity to grow their role over time.
