Committee and Volunteer Opportunities

The PRSA Orlando Regional Chapter offers a number of opportunities for members to both develop and share their skills while expanding their network of professional connections. By getting involved, you can help shape the direction of PRSA Orlando, the largest association of communications professionals in Central Florida.

To serve our members, PRSA Orlando needs a strong team that is ready to give back, provide leadership skills and network with colleagues. Participating on a committee offers a great way to better understand the organization and its many aspects. The time commitment will depend both on your availability and the role in which you wish to assist. Perhaps you cannot be responsible for putting together the newsletter each month, but you could provide content on a quarterly or monthly basis.

Here is the list of the current committees and types of roles in which we are seeking assistance. The future of PRSA Orlando just might be you!

Assist the Co-Vice Presidents of Programs with ideas for monthly programs and events, logistics and program surveys and feedback. We also have opportunities to assist with Idea Swaps, Networking events and PRSA Gives Back.

Assist the communications team by creating content for our newsletter, website and social media. Some content that we could use assistance with includes member spotlights and focus month communications (APR month, Ethics month, D&I month, etc). Help promote our programs by listing our events in local calendars and sharing with relevant media.

Help our Co-Vice Presidents of Membership recruit and retain members. Assist by being a welcoming member or mentor for new members or helping with membership outreach. Help identify members for spotlights or good news, or assist in planning our member mixers.

Diversity & Inclusion:

Assist the D&I Chair with ideas for outreach and monthly features for topical D&I issues and to implement the monthly D&I action plan. Assist with the annual Dinner, Diversity & Dialogue and help keep D&I at the forefront of our programs and communications.

How To Get Involved:

If you’re interested in helping out in any of these committees, please contact Stefanie Macfarlane, APR, at to let her know on which committee you would like to serve.
