Social Media Coordinator will collaborate on the development and implementation of multi-channel social media initiatives focused on promoting and protecting the university’s reputation. This person will play a pivotal role in building communities and creating integrated marketing campaigns ensuring consistency in voice and brand, and also in helping the university increase engagement with key audiences.

This position will be housed in the Division of Communications and Marketing, and the selected candidate will work closely with University Marketing and Communications in developing and sharing content.

Collaborate with all areas of Communications and Marketing to develop innovative and relevant media content across social media platforms. This includes working closely with graphic designers and web content managers to ensure a cohesive social media identity.

Understand the goal, audience, and message of a campaign and be able to develop strategies to increase fan base, engagement, and sharing on social platforms.

Monitor social media groups, trends, tools, and applications and recommend actions based on the insights gained.

Setup daily tasks and activity for all social media outlets.

Monitor and engage in select online conversations, working to transform visitors into advocates.

Respond to social media inquiries in a timely and courteous fashion.

Assist with crisis and emergency communications.

Serve on a universitywide group of social media communicators and provide guidance to colleagues throughout the university about social media opportunities and protocols.

Collaborate with external university partners to maximize the impact of their social media pages in helping to advance UCF’s goals.

Communicate and assist in leading a group of student social media ambassadors to gather user-generated content and increase the reach of the UCF brand through influencers.

Preferences:

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud; specifically After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop & Lightroom
  • Knowledgeable in capturing photo, video and audio
  • Organized in editorial content creation
  • Demonstrate ability to strategize social media coverage and promotion of digital content in creative or innovative ways.
  • Ability to interpret analytics data to develop strategies for content promotion.
